Enable Compatibility Mode

It is recommended that deployments always use the latest product release. However, compatibility mode can be enabled by Managers in order to run particular deployments in the previous quarterly release version. This provides time to resolve any layout or behavior differences between versions.

Compatibility mode can be useful if:

  • you are experiencing issues with deployed interviews or web services after upgrade, or
  • you know that the next upgrade will break the deployment.

To enable compatibility mode:

  1. In Intelligent Advisor Hub, navigate to the Deployments Page (Classic and Environment Hubs) or Deployments Overview Page (Studio Hubs).
  2. Click the deployment name. The deployment details page is displayed.
  3. In the SETTINGS panel, select the Compatibility drop-down.
  4. Select Stay on the current product release after the next upgrade.

The status of the deployment is updated in the deployment summary to show that it is now in compatibility mode.
  5. Click Apply.

After any issues are resolved you should turn compatibility mode off by selecting Always use the latest product release option in the Compatibility drop-down.

Compatibility mode will be automatically turned off when:

  • the next upgrade occurs
  • you activate a deployment version that requires the latest product release

Compatibility mode is not supported by embedded interviews.

If you are unable to resolve your compatibility issue, please contact support.
