Oracle Responsys Open/Click Awarding
Overview
Oracle CrowdTwist can integrate with Oracle Responsys to award members for their email engagement within the loyalty program.
This is achieved by the CrowdTwist platform accessing and processing Oracle Responsys Event Data (CED Feeds). More details on Oracle Responsys Event Data can be found here.
Note: This requires the client to have their own Oracle Responsys instance. For more information on Oracle Responsys, contact your Oracle representative.
Actions to Award
Loyalty members can earn points for engaging with emails deployed by the Oracle Responsys platform. Opens/Clicks are tracked by the Oracle Responsys platform and detailed in the Event Data feeds. The Oracle CrowdTwist platform processes these OPEN & CLICK files, matching on email address to members. For each action that can be associated, the member is credited the standard activities of “clicked link in email message” or “read email message”. Point awarding is based on a frequency cap as defined on the Activity defined within the CrowdTwist Control Center for these activities.
Integration Setup Process
Step 1: Configure Event Data file generation in your Responsys instance. If this is not already enabled, or you need assistance enabling, please contact your Oracle Responsys representative.
Step 2: Install the CrowdTwist Server SSH Public Key. If you do not have this, your CrowdTwist representative can provide.
Step 3: Request Responsys to install the CrowdTwist Server SSH Public Key, this will grant the CrowdTwist platform access to your files.
Step 4: Configure the activities “clicked link in email message” or “read email message” in CrowdTwist with your desired copy, points and frequency capping.
Step 5: Provide your CrowdTwist representative with the server details (host, username, folder directory). They’ll test the connect and verify the ability to connect.
Step 6: Once enabled, the CrowdTwist platform will scan the Responsys SFTP for new files every 6 hours and process them. Members will be awarded based on activity configuration, matching on the recipients/members email address.
