Step 3: Campaign reporting

After launching a campaign, you can use various reports to help monitor the performance. Oracle Eloqua offers two types of reports:

  • Operational Reports - Real-time reporting on the last three months of campaign activity.
  • Insight Reports - Detailed reporting with up to date information from within the last 24 hours.

To view campaign reports:

  1. Navigate to Orchestration An image of the Orchestration icon., then click Campaigns.
  2. Open DO NOT LAUNCH - My first welcome campaign.
  3. Click An image of the operational reports icon on the right of the canvas to view the Operational Reports.

    Note: You must have the View Operational Reports action permission to access operational reports.

    For a description of the Operational Reports, see Overview of campaign operational reports. Here is a brief description:

    • Campaign Audit: An audit of all user activity on the campaign.
    • Campaign Email Statistics: Shows recent activity for any emails that are a part of a campaign.
    • Campaign Entry Report: Shows when and where each campaign member entered the campaign.
    • Campaign Exit Report: Shows when and where each campaign member exited out of the campaign.
  4. Click the Campaign Email Statistics operational report.

    The report opens showing email activity such as total emails sent, opened, clicked through, and so on.

  5. Click the Evaluation period drop-down list and choose a different time period. Again, this report only shows up to 3 months of data.

  6. Click Close to close the report.
  7. Click An image of the operational reports icon and then click the Campaign Analysis Insight report.

    It shows similar information about the email assets, but rolls up all campaign activity. It also shows all asset activity (emails, landing pages, and so on). You can use the links in the report to drill-through to additional information.

    If you notice some differences between these reports, keep in mind the following:

    • Operational reports only include data for up to the last 3 months.
    • Insight reports are not real-time and can take up to 24 hours to update.

Now that you've finished creating a welcome campaign with Oracle Eloqua, you can use tools like landing pages, forms, emails, and segments to reach out in dynamic ways to customers or prospects with personalized content.
