Setting up branded domains for SMS link shortening
Important: This feature is only available if your organization has purchased SMS services. Please contact your account manager for additional information and pricing.
Setup a branded domain to shorten links and personalize SMS messages. After you setup up a branded domain, Oracle Eloqua will automatically shorten links in SMS messages for you using your domain.
Note: This branding is different from any branding you have otherwise set up in Eloqua.
To set up a branded domain to shorten SMS links:
- Before you begin, delegate your domain or subdomain through NS record entries in your organization's master zone file. Talk to your IT department for assistance. No separate file may be created.
The domain or subdomain must be pointed toward the following:
- a13-67.akam.net
- a16-65.akam.net
- a2-66.akam.net
- a9-64.akam.net.
- a1-31.akam.net
- a12-67.akam.net
Important: If you can't delegate the branded domain or subdomain to the above list, contact Oracle Support.
- Open a service request with Oracle Support to submit your delegated branded Short URL domain (example http://exmpl.co/ABCDEF). This can't be changed later, so validate your choice carefully. Ensure that the delegated branded Short URL domain is unique. It can't be shared across more than one brand in the same instance or across more than one Oracle Eloqua instances.
When the branded Short URL domain creation is done, Oracle will notify you on the same service request.
