Configuring site administration settings

As part of the administrative settings, you can specify how you want Oracle Maxymiser to treat visitors from certain IP addresses or domains while using your site. For example, how you want Oracle Maxymiser to treat some IPs and domains during a test, or how Oracle Maxymiser should interpret tests from particular domains.

Important: This topic applies only to account administrators.

Company IPs

You can specify a list of IP addresses that are allowed to see campaigns in Oracle Maxymiser's test environment (sandbox). Oracle Maxymiser does not track visitors from the listed IP addresses and excludes them from reporting.

To add a company IP address:

  1. Click the Company IPs tab in Site Administration.

  2. Type or paste the IP address into the box. You can enter multiple IP addresses on different rows or separate each address with a comma. You can add up to 300 IP addresses.
  3. Click Save.
  4. To remove an IP address, delete it from the list.
  5. To search for an IP address, press Ctrl+F (or Cmd+F on a Mac) to display the search box.

Company sites

You can specify a list of domains (sites) that you want Oracle Maxymiser to treat as internal during a test. When a visitor is redirected to the test page from an internal domain, the redirect will be considered internal.

Note: You can use internal or external redirect in report filters. An internal redirect is when a visitor is redirected from an internal page to another internal page. An external redirect is when a visitor is redirected from an external page to an internal website page.

To add a company site:

  1. Click the Company Sites tab in Site Administration.

  2. Type a URL for the site, then click Add to display the site in the list.
  3. Repeat the process for additional sites.
  4. Click Save.

Excluded IPs

You can specify a list of IP addresses that should be excluded from campaigns on your site. This means that campaigns on your site will not be shown to visitors with IPs on the excluded IPs list. Visitors see default content and reporting data is not collected for them.

To exclude an IP address:

  1. Click the Excluded IPs tab in Site Administration.

  2. Type or paste an IP address into the box. You can enter multiple IP addresses on different rows or separate each address with a comma. You can add up to 300 IP addresses.
  3. Click Save.
  4. To remove an IP address, delete it from the list.
  5. To search for an IP address, press Ctrl + F (or Cmd + F on a Mac) to display the search box.
