Adobe Analytics

This article will explain how to integrate your Oracle Maxymiser campaign with Adobe Analytics so that you can use Oracle Maxymiser element/variant combinations within Adobe Analytics reporting.

For example, we are running an A/B test in Oracle Maxymiser and want to analyze how each variant affects conversions, which we track in Adobe Analytics.

To enable this integration:

  1. Click the Overview tab in the campaign.
  2. Click Add an Integration, then select Adobe Analytics.
  3. Select Enable.
  4. Enter the eVar conversion variable (for example, enter 25 to use eVar25).
  5. If your website uses a custom s_code variable, enter that global variable name. For example, if you use window[s_tracker] instead of window[s], enter s_tracker.
  6. If your website uses custom traffic variable, also known as props (s.prop) or property variables, enter that s.prop variable.

Using Oracle Maxymiser data in Adobe Analytics

Once integrated, Oracle Maxymiser will send relevant campaign information to the eVar of your choosing. You can use this eVar as usual within your Adobe Analytics reporting.

When setting up the eVar in your Adobe account, choose the following configuration:

  • Name: Enter any user friendly name (for example, Maxymiser Campaigns)
  • Type: Text String
  • Allocation: Most Recent (last)
  • Expiration: Never

Tips

  • This integration populates the eVar with campaign information in the following format: Test Name=Element1:VariantA|Element2:VariantC.
  • Unless a visitor's experience changes based on a segment rule, data will only be sent to Adobe Analytics once per session, per campaign, using the s.tl() link tracking method.
  • This integration is now supported for URL redirect campaigns without manual coding.
  • To help filter out QA and internal traffic, the following changes are made when sending data:
    • Event Category: Maxymiser QA
    • Custom Dimension: Test Name QA=Element1:VariantA|Element2:VariantC
