Enabling Oracle Infinity data integration

Important: This feature is currently released under our Controlled Availability program. To request access to this feature, please log in to My Oracle Support and create a service request.

The data integration for Oracle Responsys and Oracle Infinity enables customers who have both products to bring near real-time Responsys customer interaction data into Infinity. Enhancing the Infinity event data in this way enables you to better analyze and explore customer behavior across all channels.

After the Infinity Data Integration feature is enabled for your account by Oracle Support, use the instructions in this topic to enable the data flow from Responsys to Infinity.

Next steps

Note: Users must have the Account Administrator role to access and modify the settings on the Infinity data integration page.

Before you begin: Obtain your account's Infinity data collection API (DCAPI) endpoint URL from Oracle Infinity. This endpoint is https://dc.oracleinfinity.io/v3/account_GUID where account_GUID is your account ID in Infinity. You can find it from the user menu while logged in to Infinity.

To enable the Infinity integration:

  1. From the side navigation bar, select Account. (If you do not see the side navigation bar, click the Menu button (aka Hamburger menu) icon.).
  2. On the Account page, choose Integration settings, and then choose Infinity data integration.

The Infinity data integration page is displayed.

  3. Select the Turn-on data flow check box.
  4. Enter your account's Infinity DCAPI endpoint URL in the field provided. This endpoint is https://dc.oracleinfinity.io/v3/account_GUID where account_GUID is your account ID in Infinity.

Important: If your organization has more than one Infinity account, ensure that you use the Infinity account ID that corresponds to your Responsys account. Otherwise, Responsys may send data to the wrong Infinity data lake.

  5. Click Save to save your changes, or Discard Changes to undo the changes you made since the last save.

After you enable the data flow successfully, you should be able to see the Responsys data in Infinity Streams. If you know there is activity in Responsys, but you don't see Responsys data in Infinity Streams within the first 10 minutes of turning on the data flow, please contact Oracle Support.

To disable the Infinity data integration:

Important: Before you turn off the data flow from Responsys to Infinity, ensure that this action will not disrupt any integrations that your organization may have set up that expect Responsys event data from Infinity.

  4. Click Save to save your changes, or Discard Changes to undo the changes you made since the last save.
