Editing User Authentication Options

Navigation (for Account Administrators only): Select The Account icon Account on the side navigation bar. Select User identity management, and then select User authentication management. (Not seeing this choice? Refer to the Account management changes topic.) Select a user from the list, and then click Edit.

For the user you selected, you can edit the following authentication options. When you have finished, click Change to save your changes, or click Cancel to exit without changing the options.

  • Disable SAML for user - available only if single sign-on is enabled for the account. By default, this checkbox is selected, which means that single sign-on is disabled for the user. Clear this checkbox to enable single sign-on for this user. For more information about single sign-on, see Setting Up Single Sign-on.
  • Federation ID - available only if single sign-on is enabled for the account. If the assertion contains the Federation ID, type the user's Federation ID. If assertion contains the user's RI username, leave this field blank.
  • User Authentication - Choose whether you want the user authentication to be by password only, by certificate only, or by password or certificate. If you choose one of the certificate options for authentication, you must upload the user's certificate file.
  • User Certificate - This feature is not available to all accounts. Please contact Responsys Support for more information.

If you are configuring server authentication (for example, when setting up an API user), click the Download Responsys Interact Certificate link to download the ResponsysServerCertificate.cer file.
