Account management changes

The Account management interface has been updated and improved as of the Oracle Responsys 18C Update. This topic describes those changes. It also provides a place for users to compare the new and old navigation to the pages that allow you to customize and control the behavior of your Oracle Responsys account.

Accessing the Account page

  1. From the side navigation bar, select Account. (If you do not see the side navigation bar, click the Menu button (aka Hamburger menu) icon.)

    The Account menu is displayed on the left side of the screen, and the Account summary page is displayed on the right side of the screen.

  2. From the Account menu, choose the menu item for the page you want to access.

To quickly locate the page you want to access, use the Search menu box at the top of the menu column. Type all or part of the name of the page you want to access, and then select the menu choice.
For example, to access the page for changing your password, type password in the Search menu box, and then select the Change password menu choice.

If the page does not show a search box but shows the older Account Management page, locate the link for the page you want by pressing Ctrl+F on your keyboard and typing all or part of the page name in the search box. Locate and click the link for the page you want to access.

Changes to Account navigation and pages

Summary of significant page changes

  • Added a new Account Summary page to show useful details, such as the account name, pod, time zone, and the like.
  • Combined Set account display name, Set idle session timeout, and Set Account lockout time into one page, Account configuration.
  • Renamed the previous Account Summary page to Account configuration. This is the more detailed view of the various account settings, ranging from how conversions and unsubscribes are handled to bounce and reply-to address to the account's connection to Connect. Added an Account name drop-down list so that users can select an account or sub-account to view its details.
  • Enhanced the Campaign defaults page (formerly titled Set Campaign Defaults) with sections for Unsubscribe Options, Campaign Close Options, and Custom X-Headers.
  • Accounts created as of Oracle Responsys 18B Update and later use the Brand Management pages for conversion to branded domain, specifying additional reply-to addresses, and the like.
  • Renamed Link Tracking page to Link Table Preference.
  • Renamed the Define Partner Content options page to Define Dynamic Content Modules partner options.
  • Renamed the Account Settings - Permission Status Inactivation Rule page to Spam complaint inactivation.
  • As of Oracle Responsys 18B Update, the user authentication part of the user profile was moved to its own page, Manage User Authentication. When you select a user and click Edit, the Edit User page contains only the SSO-related fields, the user authentication method fields (password vs. certificate), and user certificate -related fields. See Editing User Authentication Options for more details. The Edit User page accessed from the Manage Users page contains the other user information, such as the user's email address, account status, locale, and roles/restrictions. See Editing User Information for more details.
