Getting started with Send Time Optimization
After you’ve decided which option you will use to generate the optimal send time data, you can begin creating a Send Time Optimization profile extension table (PET).
- For clients who have purchased the Oracle Responsys Send Time Optimization Cloud Service or the Oracle Responsys Advanced Intelligence Package: Enable Send Time Optimization through the Intelligent Feature Management page. The standard Send Time Optimization PETs for email and push are automatically created for each profile list in your account after you enable STO. The PETs will be automatically-created upon the creation of new profile lists.
STO PETs adhere to the following naming scheme:
- For STO for email, use: STO_Email_<Profile_List_Name>
For STO for Push, use: STO_Push_<Profile_List_Name>
Where <Profile_List_Name> is the name of your profile list.
- For clients who have decided to work with a 3rd-party STO partner or create your own STO algorithm, then the creation of the Send Time Optimization PET is needed for both preexisting and newly-created profile lists. This PET(s) should use a naming scheme that is different than the standard naming scheme mentioned in the previous bullet.
