Privacy Protected Mail Client PETs

Privacy Protected Mail Client profile extension tables (PETs) are automatically created for every profile list in an Oracle Responsys account. You can use these PETs for fine-tuning your targeting and segmentation.

Oracle Responsys categorizes email open signals into two event types: Auto Opens and Opens. Auto Opens are open signals generated by privacy-protected email clients, such as iOS 15's Apple Mail with Mail Privacy Protection enabled, where the open signal's User Agent String is "Mozilla/5.0".

Privacy Protected Mail Client PETs contain recipients that have only generated open signals in the past week using a privacy-protected mail client (that is, Auto Opens). Recipients will stay in a PET until they generate an Open event. Note that recipients may remain in a PET if they stop generating open signals.

Privacy Protected Mail Client PET naming and format

Each profile list in your account will have a Privacy Protected Mail Client PET, where each PET has the following naming convention: Privacy Protected Mail Client <ListName>. For example, if you have a profile list called CONTACTS_LIST, the profile list will have a PET called Privacy Protected Mail Client CONTACTS_LIST.

The Privacy Protected Mail Client PET has the following format.

Field Name Field Type Description
RIID_ Integer Field Oracle Responsys recipient tracking ID. This is a reserved field used to track an individual customer through the life-cycle of a List, campaign activities, and the like.
CREATED_DATE_ Time Stamp Field (date + time) Reserved field. Date that the record was created.
MODIFIED_DATE_ Time Stamp Field (date + time) Reserved field. Date that the record was last modified.
