Text Field Length

This feature shows you the list of fields that can have a maximum character length set, and lets you to set the maximum lengths. If you leave a field blank then the maximum database length for the field is applied.

Note:

If you specify a maximum length greater than the length allowed in the database then your maximum value will be ignored and the database maximum for the field applied.

The new text field length maximum is applied when creating a new form and modifying an existing form.

Note:

If you have an existing value that is longer than the new Text field length then the existing length of the value will be treated as the maximum length while the form is being modified.
