Edit an item

Edit a product or service item to correct its details or change where it can be used. Open Menu > Products and services > Items.

Before you begin

You need permission to update product or service items, and the item must already exist.

Changing an item’s purchasing, selling, inventory, or accounting configuration can affect future transactions. Some changes are restricted after the item has inventory activity or is referenced by transactions.

Edit an item

  1. Open Menu > Products and services > Items.
  2. Find and open the product or service.
  3. Select Edit.
  4. Change the item details or configurations that apply.
  5. Select Update.

QuickStart displays the updated values on the item record.
