Delete an item
Delete a product or service only when it was created by mistake and is not needed for historical records. You cannot recover a deleted item. Open Menu > Products and services > Items.
If an item has already been used or cannot be deleted, inactivate it instead.
Before you begin
You need permission to delete the corresponding product or service item. The item must not be required by transactions or other records.
Delete an item
- Open Menu > Products and services > Items.
- Find and open the item.
- Open More actions and select Delete.
- Confirm the item-specific dialog and button:
- For a product, the dialog title contains the product name, for example Delete Bike Tablet?. Select Delete product.
- For a service, the dialog title contains the service name, for example Delete Installation?. Select Delete service.
QuickStart displays Item deleted and returns to the Items list. The deleted item no longer appears in search results.
