Create a quote
Create a quote to give a customer an estimate for products or services before creating a sales order or invoice. Start from the Quotes list when you need to select the customer, start from a customer to supply it automatically, or copy a similar existing quote. A submitted quote receives a unique QU number. After the accepted quote reaches Closed - won, you can convert it to a sales order. If it contains only nonfulfillable items, you can instead convert it to an invoice.
Before you begin
Create the customer and the products or services that you want to quote. A company customer can also have a contact. The quote form does not create a new customer in context.
