Connect a bank to automate transaction imports

Set up a bank connection to import transactions from linked bank and credit card accounts automatically. Open Menu, select Banking, and then select Cash management.

You need the administrator access profile and the sign-in credentials required by the financial institution.

To connect a bank:

  1. Open Menu, select Banking, and then select Cash management.
  2. Select Connected accounts.
  3. Select Connect bank.
  4. On the Choose connector step, select the available financial data connector.
  5. Review and accept the connector terms, and then continue to set up the connection.
  6. Select Sign in to bank and complete the financial institution’s authentication flow. Allow pop-up windows if prompted by your browser.
  7. Select the external accounts that you want to connect.
  8. On the Link accounts step, select an account in QuickStart for each external account that you want to import. To create the corresponding account during setup, select Generate bank account or Generate credit card account.
  9. Select when the initial import should start. The available options are Today, This month, This year to date, Last year to date, and Custom. This month is selected by default. If you select Custom, enter a start date.
  10. Select Finish.

Transactions are imported only for linked accounts. If the initial import starts immediately, the account shows Importing status until processing finishes. A successfully linked account then shows Connected status and is included in daily automatic imports.

Transactions before the selected start date are not imported, and bank limitations can apply to custom date ranges. Make sure that transactions that cleared before that date are already recorded and reconciled in QuickStart.
