Get started with managing bank connections

Use Menu > Banking > Cash management > Connected accounts to monitor the external bank and credit-card connections that import transactions into QuickStart. You can review connection status, update credentials, link or unlink accounts, and stop or restore automatic imports for an individual account.

Open Menu, select Banking, select Cash management, and then select Connected accounts. You need the administrator access profile to manage connections.

The page shows each external account’s connection status, last balance update, account information, balance when available, and linked QuickStart account. You can switch between card and list views.

Available actions depend on the account’s current state. You can:

QuickStart cannot import transactions for an unlinked or expired connection. Unlinking an account or revoking access does not remove transactions that were already imported. An import that is already queued or in progress may still finish.

  1. On Connected accounts, find an external account with Not linked status.
  2. Select Link bank account.
  3. Select the corresponding account in QuickStart.
  4. Select the transaction age for the import.
  5. Select Link.

QuickStart starts importing transactions into the selected account.

Renew a connection

  1. Find an account with an expiring or expired connection.
  2. Select Renew bank connection.
  3. In the confirmation dialog, select Renew connection.
  4. Complete the authentication requested by the financial institution.
  1. Find the external account that you want to unlink.
  2. Select Unlink this account.
  3. Review the confirmation message, and then select Unlink account.

QuickStart stops importing transactions into the linked account until you link the external account again.

Revoke access to a connection

  1. Select More actions > Revoke access.
  2. Select the bank connection.
  3. Select Revoke access.

QuickStart stops transaction synchronization for the selected connection. You can connect the bank again later.

If a financial institution cannot be connected, select Import bank file and import an OFX or CSV file.
