What is a permission set?
A permission set is a group of permissions allowing users access to a specific task. The name of each permission set contains the task and what the user can do with it. For example, the permission set Credit memos (View) permits users to view credit memos.
You can see the list of available permission sets along with their detailed descriptions on the Set up QuickStart access page. The check marks indicate that those permission sets are included in selected access profile(s). The x marks indicate that those permission sets are not part of selected access profile(s). To see the full list of available permission sets, select Expand all. To see permission sets included in selected access profile(s), select Show only included. You can see the number of included sets above the list, for example “25/155 permission sets included”.
Permission sets are grouped by sections which represent different QuickStart business functions. There are nine sections: Accounting, Payables, Receivables, Purchasing, Inventory, Product & Services, Sales, People, and Administration.
