Create a shipping carrier account

Create a shipping carrier account in Menu > Products and services > Settings > Shipping > Shipping carrier accounts to connect a custom carrier with your company’s account name and tracking-page URL. The saved account becomes available to shipping methods for that carrier and cannot be deleted after another record references it.

Before you begin

Create the custom shipping carrier first. For an integrated account, use Register with ShipStation API instead of this procedure.

Create a custom carrier account

  1. Open Menu > Products and services > Settings > Shipping.
  2. Select Shipping carrier accounts.
  3. Select Create shipping carrier account.
  4. Enter a unique Nickname that identifies the account.
  5. Select the Carrier.
  6. Enter the carrier’s Tracking link. For a custom carrier, this field is required. Enter the carrier’s tracking-page URL prefix in the format expected by that carrier, so the package tracking number can be appended to it.
  7. Select Create.

The account becomes available when you create shipping methods for that carrier. A referenced account cannot be deleted.
