In these reports, quantity on hand is the physical quantity recorded at a location. Committed quantity is current inventory reserved for open order lines. Quantity available is the on-hand quantity that remains available after current commitments. A backordered quantity is the open ordered quantity that is not fulfilled or allocated.
The available reports are:
- Inventory balance shows current on-hand and available quantities by item and location.
- Inventory cost accounting shows the status and Cost pending date of ongoing inventory cost accounting for each item and location.
- Inventory snapshot shows current on-hand and available quantities. Filter it by Location or Item; it does not provide a historical date selector.
- Negative inventory includes item and location balances whose on-hand quantity is less than zero.
- Late sales orders includes sales orders with at least one line whose expected ship date has passed. Ship by is the earliest expected ship date, Late days is the number of days after that date, and Late lines is the number of affected lines.
- Late purchase orders includes purchase orders with at least one line whose expected receipt date has passed. Late days is the number of days after the earliest expected receipt date, and Late lines is the number of affected lines.
- Order fulfillment cycle time calculates the number of days from the sales order date to the date of its last item fulfillment. The report can group the result by order date and other displayed dimensions.
- Inventory backorders includes sales order lines whose backordered quantity is greater than zero. Its default date period is the previous year through today.
- Items pending fulfillment shows open sales order items and their committed quantity while they are waiting to be fulfilled. Its default date period is the previous year through today.
- Inventory valuation summary summarizes inventory quantity and value for the selected date. Use this report, rather than Inventory snapshot, when you need a value as of a specific date.
- Inventory count variance sums the adjustment quantity, which is counted quantity minus snapshot quantity, by item and location. Its default period is the previous year through today. Positive values indicate counted stock above the snapshot; negative values indicate counted stock below it.
