Configure Google UCP Product Feeds
Use the Google UCP Product Feed to make SuiteCommerce product catalog data available to Google for Gemini-powered shopping experiences. After you create the feed, NetSuite generates a secure feed URL that you submit to Google.
When shoppers discover your products through Gemini, they can browse product information in the AI experience. When they are ready to buy, they are redirected to your SuiteCommerce website for checkout.
To configure a Google UCP Product Feed, you must:
Create a Google UCP Product Feed in NetSuite
You create a Google UCP Product Feed by using the standard product feed creation process in NetSuite. See Create a Product Feed for more details
To create a Google UCP Product Feed:
-
In NetSuite, go to Lists > Feeds > Product Feeds, and select New Product Feed.
-
In the Feed Type field, select Google UCP Product Feed.
-
Complete the required feed setup fields.
-
Save the product feed.
After the feed is created, NetSuite generates a secure feed URL. The feed automatically includes products currently displayed on your SuiteCommerce site.
Complete the Product Feed Setup with Google
After you create the feed in NetSuite, you must complete setup in Google Merchant Center.
To complete the product feed setup for Gemini (with Google):
-
Create or log in to the Google Merchant Center.
-
Join the waitlist for Google Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP).
-
Submit the SuiteCommerce-generated feed URL where prompted.
Your products don't appear in Gemini immediately. Google reviews and ingests submitted feeds independently, and NetSuite doesn't control Google's review or approval process.
Feed Data and Compatibility
The Google UCP Product Feed uses a predefined saved search to retrieve product data in the required feed format. NetSuite can generate the feed on a schedule or when you generate it manually. The saved search is fixed and cannot be modified.
If you use custom product feed configurations, review any related customizations or workflows to make sure they are compatible with the standardized feed structure.
