Store Quality Management Image Files
After you set the top-level folder in the file cabinet, more folders are created to help organize images.
Since image files are linked directly to inspection data, the next section explains the subfolders and naming convention for reference.
Images are grouped by:
-
Triggering Transaction and Specification – Subfolder IDs are concatenated by an underscore (_).
-
Inspection – The inspection subfolder can contain multiple image fields.
-
Data Field – The data field is captured within the file name to segregate images.
To avoid folder naming conflicts, internal record IDs are used to build folder names.
For example, the following Quality Management Setup:
-
Specification — Inspect for Receipt [ID=32]
-
Inspection — Check for Visual Damage [ID=71]
-
Image Field — Photo of Damage [ID=108]
This specification is triggered when an Item Receipt [ID = 120] is processed in the system.
After you capture the image, these are created:
Folder 120_32
subfolder 71
File ‘qm_120_32_71_108’
