Using AI Agent Plug-ins

Use AI Agent Plug-ins to add NetSuite skills to supported AI platforms. Before you install a plug-in, review the prerequisites and then follow the instructions for your platform or interface.

Prerequisites

The business user plug-ins require the NetSuite AI Connector Service to access NetSuite data.

Installing a Plug-in

To install a plug-in in ChatGPT Work:

  1. Open ChatGPT in Work mode.

  2. Select Plugins in the sidebar.

  3. Search for the desired NetSuite plug-in.

  4. Install it, then start a new chat.

  5. Type @ followed by the plug-in name, or directly invoke the skill.

To install a plug-in in Codex in the ChatGPT desktop app:

  1. Open ChatGPT and select Codex in the sidebar product selector.

  2. Select Plugins in the sidebar.

  3. Search for the desired NetSuite plug-in.

  4. Install it, then start a new chat.

  5. Type @ followed by the plug-in name, or directly invoke the skill.

To install a plug-in in Codex CLI:

  1. Open Codex CLI.

  2. Run /plugins.

  3. Search for the desired NetSuite plug-in.

  4. Install it, then start a new chat.

  5. Type @ or $ followed by the plug-in name, or directly invoke the skill.

To install a plug-in in Claude Cowork desktop app:

  1. Open Cowork and go to your profile in the sidebar.

  2. Go to Settings > Plugins > Browse.

  3. Select Partner.

  4. Search for the desired NetSuite plug-in.

  5. Install it, then start a new chat.

  6. Type / followed by the plug-in name, or directly invoke the skills.

To install a plug-in in Claude Code desktop app:

  1. Open the Claude desktop app and click the Code tab.

  2. Start a new local session and choose your project folder.

  3. Run /plugin to open the plug-in manager.

  4. In the plug-in manager, select Discover to view the plug-ins.

  5. Choose the installation scope:

    • User: Available in all your local projects.

    • Project: Available to teammates who use that repository.

    • Local: Available only to you in that repository.

  6. Install the desired plug-in.

  7. Type / followed by the plug-in name, or directly invoke the skills.

Note:

A plug-in installed from the Code tab in the Claude desktop app is available only in Claude Code, including the local CLI and desktop Code environment. To use the plug-in in Claude Cowork, install it separately from Claude Cowork.

To install a plug-in in Claude Code CLI:

  1. Start Claude Code in your project by running cd path/to/your-project, then claude.

  2. Run /plugin to open the plug-in manager.

  3. In the plug-in manager, select Discover to view the plug-ins.

  4. Choose the installation scope:

    • User: Available in all your local projects.

    • Project: Available to teammates who use that repository.

    • Local: Available only to you in that repository.

  5. Install the desired plug-in, then start a new chat, or reload the plug-ins if prompted.

  6. Type / followed by the plug-in name, or directly invoke the skills.
