FSM Mobile Data Sync and Refresh

Refresh data populates task data in FSM Mobile from NetSuite. When FSM Mobile is launched for the first time in a day, it automatically triggers Refresh Data to get the updated task list for the day. Users can also manually trigger this by clicking Refresh Data when online. Doing so gets the current task data from NetSuite as needed, such as updated site addresses.

The Refresh Data action can consume a large amount of data depending on how much information has been updated since the task list was last refreshed.

When technicians enter changes then saves it in FSM Mobile, the change becomes eligible to sync. If the device is online, FSM Mobile sends the saved change to NetSuite and waits for a response. If it is offline, the saved change remains on the device and FSM Mobile automatically attempts to sync it after connectivity returns. Saving on the device does not confirm that NetSuite received the change.

FSM Mobile Offline Behavior

When the device is offline, the Offline indicator is displayed and manual refresh data is not available. Technicians can continue to enter changes and save, but these changes will only sync back to NetSuite when connectivity is restored.

To ensure that unsynced data is not lost, avoid performing Refresh Data before all offline changes has been synced to NetSuite. Refresh Data is automatically triggered when FSM Mobile is launched and it has been a day since the last refresh data. Closing and reopening the installed app normally preserves locally stored offline changes, but the leading practice is to sync offline changes before logging off for the day.
