Setting Up Israel-specific Preferences

To set up your NetSuite account according to Israel-specific preferences, you must adjust your NetSuite company settings.

Note:

Make sure that your NetSuite role has the appropriate permissions to set up company preferences to Israel.

To adjust company settings:

  1. Go to Setup > Company > Setup Tasks > States/Provinces/Counties.

  2. Add the relevant districts.

  3. Go to Setup > Company > General Preferences.

    • In the Date Format fields, specify the date format (DD.MM.YYYY or DD/MM/YYYY) and long date format (DD Month YYYY).

    • In the Number Format field, select 1,000,000.00.

    • (Optional) On the Accounting Context subtab, create an accounting context (for example, you can call it Israel). For more information, see Accounting Contexts.

    • On the Languages subtab, select the language to use in NetSuite pages. Hebrew and Arabic are not available.

  4. Go to Setup > Company > Setup Tasks > Company Information.

    • Enter the VAT registration number for the parent subsidiary.

    • In the Time Zone field, select (GMT+2:00) Jerusalem.

    • Create a currency record for ILS by clicking the plus sign next to the Currency field. After the ILS record has been created, set this as the currency of the company also of the top parent subsidiary. For more information, see Creating Currency Records.

  5. Click Save.
