Demo of Mode Handling
Most content in most articles applies to both Classic and Next AI mode. Such content does not have the mode attribute applied.
When content applies to a single mode we need to visually identify that content so the writer can keep track. We can customize the display by editing the file: /oxygen-frameworks/DocBookNSN/css/elements.css.
Example of Visual Identifiers
Each article has a color left border and a text header to identify its mode.

Example Of Classic Mode - Nested
Here is an example for Classic Mode where the article contains another article tagged with the same mode. This is not an error but is not achieving anything. Therefore we would suggest writers avoid this nesting of the mode attribute – since all child articles automatically inherit their parent's mode.
There is a need to assist writers in identifying incorrectly nested content.
Example Of Conflicting Modes - Nested
Here is an example of Classic Mode content where the article contains another article tagged with a different mode. This is an error and needs to be immediately visible and understandable to the writer.
