Designed with third-party integrations in mind.

The introduction of the SuiteTax API enables NetSuite tax partners, as well as other third-party applications, to seamlessly integrate reliable and auditable processes into NetSuite. This is possible with or without taxes being calculated.

Built using NetSuite's latest technology.

SuiteTax is engineered to fit NetSuite's current platform and architecture direction, making it scalable and adaptable to future updates and innovations.

Enables more accurate tracking and reporting of taxes.

  • You can now set up multiple tax registrations for each subsidiary, along with its corresponding tax registration numbers, exemption status, and validity dates.

  • Nexus determination is enhanced. SuiteTax considers a broad range of addresses to ensure taxes are always calculated in the proper jurisdiction. Apart from the transaction shipping and billing addresses, the following addresses are also taken into account:

    • location address

    • subsidiary main address

    • subsidiary shipping address

Increases tax calculations precision by introducing new date-driven controls.

  • Subsidiary tax registrations include validity dates to support time-bound compliance requirements.

  • Tax Point Date on transactions helps apply the correct rate and rules as they change over time.

Supports non-standard tax scenarios with override options.

For special or complex cases, SuiteTax allows controlled override on transactions through the following fields:

  • Nexus Override

  • Tax Details Override

  • Tax Point Date Override

Supports multiple tax registrations on entity records.

You can now assign multiple tax registrations on your customer and vendor records. This enables compliance with local, state, and international tax regulations where a single entity operates in multiple jurisdictions.
