Advanced Pricing Overview
When you enable Advanced Pricing, you'll activate these enhancements designed to help your business set and manage prices for everything you sell:

Price Rules - Price rules let you automatically apply price levels to sales transactions based on specific criteria such as customer, item, or date range. Using price rules helps ensure that your pricing strategy remains up to date.

Narrative Insights - Advanced Pricing offers pricing-relevant insights to enable you make better pricing decisions. Let AI guide your pricing decisions to help you protect your margins and spot new opportunities.

Cost Plus Pricing Enhancements - Advanced Pricing lets you set up Cost Plus (Cost+) pricing at the price level. Selecting the Cost+ pricing method lets you pick a cost basis and set a markup or discount percentage.
How Advanced Pricing Works
Advanced Pricing assigns price levels to items based on defined parameters such as customer, date, and currency. To determine price levels, Advanced Pricing applies the following hierarchy:

Advanced Pricing evaluates the price rules that are specific to a customer or group of customers. For more information, see Creating Price Rules.
If more than one price level is returned, the tie-breaker preference you set determines which price level is returned. For more information, see Setting Advanced Pricing Preferences. If no price level is returned,

Advanced Pricing evaluates the pricing set on the customer record, and applies the following hierarchy:

Advanced Pricing returns the price level set on the Item Pricing subtab on the Financial tab of the customer record. If none,

It returns the price level set on the Group Pricing subtab on the Financial tab of the customer record. If none,

It returns the price level set on the Financial tab of the customer record. If no price level is returned,

Advanced Pricing evaluates the price rules that apply to all customers.

Advanced Pricing evaluates the pricing set on the item record and returns the base price level. It can also return the online price level for online shoppers.
