Enabling Consigned Inventory Management

Be sure to enable the following prerequisite features, before you enable the Consigned Inventory Management feature:

Important:

If you use the Brazil Localization SuiteApp, contact your account manager to verify any customization requirements before you enable Consigned Inventory Management.

To review limitations for some of these features, see Limitations for Consigned Inventory Management.

To enable Consigned Inventory Management:

  1. Go to Setup > Company > Setup Tasks > Enable Features.

  2. On the Enable Features page, do the following:

    1. Make sure that you have checked the box for all the prerequisite features.

    2. On the Items & Inventory subtab, check the Consigned Inventory Management box.

      Note:

      After you enable this feature, you can't disable it if you have open transactions with vendor consigned items. If you don't have any open transactions, you can clear the Consigned Inventory Management box. See Disabling Consigned Inventory Management.

  3. (Optional) Check the box for optional features that you want to use.

    Important:

    The Consigned Inventory Management feature can't be enabled if you use the Assembly Items feature, and vice versa. Also, you can't use the Warehouse Management feature together with Consigned Inventory Management. For more limitations, see Limitations for Consigned Inventory Management.

    • Purchase Contracts

    • Lot Tracking, Serialized Inventory

    • Advanced Inventory Management, Supply Planning, Supply Allocation, Demand Planning

    • Advanced Item Location Configuration

    • Inventory Count

  4. Click Save.
