  2. Click the Settings icon in the bottom-left corner of SuitePeople Time Clock.

  3. Click Enroll Staff.

  4. Select the employee you want to set up from the employee list.

  5. Select the finger that you want to enroll for the employee. You can register all 10 fingers for the employee.

  6. SuitePeople Time Clock will prompt the employee to place their finger on the finger scanner. This process will occur eight times per finger.

  7. Click OK to continue.

  8. Follow this process for each finger you are registering.

  9. After all the employee's fingers have been registered, click Save to register the new employee.

Fingerprint Scanner Troubleshooting and Maintenance

If you experience issues with the fingerprint scanner, try the following tips:

  1. Wipe the glass scanning area with a tissue or cloth to remove some of the oils from previous finger scans.

  2. Have the employee rub the finger they are going to scan between their thumb and forefinger to "warm it up". This will allow a clearer read on the finger.

  3. Ensure the employee presses firmly on the glass with the finger in the correct position. A light touch will not get a clear read.

  4. Have the employee register their fingerprints for all 10 fingers.

  5. Check that the USB port for the fingerprint scanner is firmly plugged into the computer to ensure a stable connection.

NetSuite Time Clock PIN Codes

Each employee has their own PIN Code.

Randomly generated PINs are created automatically. To grant an employee a PIN or change a PIN for an employee, go to the employee's profile and select Timesheet PIN. You can enter in a new PIN, or select Generate PIN to generate a random unique PIN.

Note:

Users on the 'Staff' level cannot change their own PINs, but they can view it in their profile when the log in.
