Installing Expense Commitments and Budget Validation

This section includes the prerequisites and instructions for installing the Expense Commitments and Budget Validation SuiteApp.

Prerequisites

The SuiteApp is developed and tested for use primarily with NetSuite OneWorld. It doesn't support non-OneWorld accounts.

For more information about NetSuite OneWorld, read Introduction to NetSuite OneWorld.

The following are the prerequisites for installing the SuiteApp:

  • The account where you’re installing the SuiteApp needs access to the Administrator and Employee Center roles.

  • The SuiteApp requires the Advanced Financials module enabled in your account. To enable it, contact your NetSuite Account Manager.

  • Enable the following features by going to Setup > Company > Enable Features. For more information, read Enabling Features.

Note:

If the Multi-Book Accounting feature is enabled, you must also enable the Extended Accounting Period Close Process feature. After you enable the feature, budget validation only works in the in the Primary book.

Installation

Any role with access to the SuiteApp Marketplace in NetSuite can install the Expense Commitments and Budget Validation SuiteApp. For more information about the SuiteApp Marketplace, see SuiteApp Marketplace in NetSuite

To install the Expense Commitments and Budget Validation SuiteApp:

  1. Go to the SuiteApps tab.

    Note:

    The SuiteApps menu isn't available for the following centers:

    • Advanced Partner Center

    • Employee Center

    • Partner Center

    • Vendor Center

  2. In the Search Apps field, enter Expense Commitments and Budget Validation SuiteApp.

  3. Click the Expense Commitments and Budget Validation tile.

  4. In the top right area of the Labor Expense Allocation SuiteApp details page, click Install.

Expense Commitments and Budget Validation is a managed SuiteApp and automatically updates whenever there are enhancements or new features.
