About Quarantine Reports

In Publisher, quarantine reports help administrators identify and list for review the reports that repeatedly fail.

Repeatedly failing reports can consume Oracle Analytics Publisher scheduler and web service resources. They can create unnecessary processing activity, reduce capacity for healthy report workloads, and generate repeated failures that make other issues harder to identify.

Oracle Analytics Publisher scans report audit data daily and identifies reports that have at least 50 executions in the previous 24 hours with a failure rate of 90% or more. Reports that meet these conditions are moved to quarantine. Quarantined reports can still be processed.

The quarantine process consists of the following stages:

  • Detection: Oracle Analytics Publisher scans audit data and identifies reports that repeatedly fail.
  • Quarantine: Oracle Analytics Publisher lists for review the affected reports in the quarantine report list.
  • Administrator review: An administrator reviews the failure information and resolves the underlying problem.
  • Removal: After resolving the problem, the administrator restores the report by removing it from quarantine.

Administrators can view quarantined reports from the Quarantine Reports page under System Maintenance. The page provides information about each report, including the report path, quarantine date, number of successful and failed executions, failure percentage, and error details.
