Adding a New Sibling Subaccount

After creating a new subaccount, you can add a new sibling subaccount for the current active subaccount selection in the list. The New Sibling subaccount icon gets enabled when the active account is a subaccount.

The newly created sibling subaccount are based on the current active subaccount selection in the account list.

To add new sibling subaccount:

1. Access the Strategic Modeling ribbon in Microsoft Excel.
2. From the Account grouping label, select Subaccounts.
3. From the account list, select an active subaccount, click .
4. In Subaccount Information, enter a Subaccount Key.

   Keys can contain alphanumeric characters only. The key must be unique.

5. In Subaccount Information, enter a subaccount name or description.

   In Subaccount dialog, you can modify individual subaccount name or description. Later, the modified name or description is displayed in the account view.

6. Select an account type: Additive, Subtractive, or Independent.
7. Optional: Select Lock Children option, which enables you to avoid further addition of subaccounts to calculated account hierarchy list, and then click OK.
