Working with Business Cases in Scenario Rollups
After you build the scenario rollup structure, you must create and assign business cases to complete the scenario rollup structure. A business case defines how child node data is rolled up into the parent.
To create and assign a business case:
-
                     Open a scenario rollup.
-
Select the parent model in the Scenario Rollups, and then from the Business Case drop-down select New Business Case.
- In Add Business Case for Model Rollup, perform any one of these steps:
                     -

In Use Existing, you can assign an existing business case to the parent model.
-

In Create New, enter a unique business case name.

-

-
In Leaf Node Scenario to Contribute, select an appropriate scenario from the drop-down such as: Base, Actual, High, Low, and then click OK. Using these Business Case/Scenarios, you can roll up data to the parent model during rollup. This enables you to run multiple Business Case scenario rollups. Note: To remove a business case, right-click on the parent model from the Model Tree, and then select Remove Business Case.
After adding business cases, you define model characteristics to further define your business case.
