Creating Attribute Values

You can define attribute values for sparse dimensions, which are typically the Entity and user-defined custom dimensions. After you define an attribute value for a dimension, you can assign it to members of that dimension.

To create attribute values:

  1. From the Home page, click Navigator Navigator icon, and then under Create and Manage, click Dimensions.
  2. Select the sparse dimension for which to create an attribute value.
  3. Select the top level in the dimension hierarchy.
  4. Click Custom Attributes icon.
  5. On the Manage Attributes and Values page, select the attribute for which to specify a value.
  6. Above the Attribute Values column, click Create icon. If the options are available, you can click Add Child icon or Add Sibling icon.
  7. Enter a name and choose a data type.
  8. Click Save.
