Working in Forms 2.0

To work in Forms 2.0, the Forms Version setting in application settings must be set to Forms 2.0. See About Forms Versions.

Opening a form from the Data page, opens the form in the runtime environment.

To open forms, see Viewing Forms.

Note:

Starting with the October 2025 (25.10) update, Oracle plans to de-support Forms 1.0. Users on new environments created on or after October 3, 2025 will see all their forms rendered exclusively in Forms 2.0, with no option in application settings to switch the Forms Version to Forms 1.0. Existing environment users will also see their forms rendered in Forms 2.0 by default. However, users on environments created before October 3, 2025 will have the option to switch back to Forms 1.0 using the Forms Version application setting, if needed.

Administrators set who can view what data and who can change it. You can enter or change data only in cells that you have Write permission to (cells with a white background).

After you promote or submit data for review and approval, you can't change the data (until you become the owner again). If the data is approved, you can't change the data unless the administrator who approved it restarts the approvals process. See Getting Plans Approved.
