New Features for Approvals Work Area
- All the actions supported in the Details view are now available as batch actions in the Task view, except for the ability to reply to Requests for Information. When you select more than one task, actions available for all selected tasks can be applied.
In the following cases, a drawer will open if needed to support a requirement for an action. The following actions have drawers when performing batch actions:- Approve and Reject and custom actions: Enter a comment if required by one or more of the selected tasks.
- Reassign: Enter the user to reassign to and a comment.
- Withdraw: Optionally, enter a comment.
- In the Task List, FYI tasks aren’t included in the default filtering. If you want to see FYI tasks, select them in the filter.
The new Approvals work area functionality allows batch actions and improves navigation and default task filtering.
Steps to Enable
You don't need to do anything to enable this feature if you're already using the Approvals work area instead of the Worklist: Approvals and Notifications work area. However, to apply new settings or features retroactively to past tasks, run the Create Approvals Search Index scheduled process to reingest existing tasks. In the Process Details, set the following options:
- Select Yes for the Reingest optional parameter.
- In the From optional parameter, enter a date from which to ingest tasks. If you want to ingest all tasks, leave this parameter blank.
Tips And Considerations
- Batch actions apply only to the selected tasks in your current list, not all tasks. For example, if there are 15 tasks out of 100 in the current list, you need to scroll in the page to fetch more records to include them in the batch.
