Deprecation of AI Configurator and Transition to AI Agent Studio

AI Configurator, the built-in tool available within Oracle HCM Experience Design Studio, and used for locally editing prompts for embedded AI features in Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications, is deprecated in 26C. Following this change, you're encouraged to transition to AI Agent Studio.

AI Agent Studio replaces the AI Configurator, providing a powerful and flexible environment for creating, configuring, and promoting agents and prompts within Fusion Applications. In addition to retaining all existing prompt-editing capabilities, AI Agent Studio enables you to add or remove variables and extend functionality with new features, providing greater flexibility and control.

If you previously configured prompts using AI Configurator, complete these actions:

• You must re-create and revalidate those configurations in AI Agent Studio.
• You will still have access to AI Configurator to copy prompts and reuse them within AI Agent Studio.

Here are the benefits of using AI Agent Studio:

• You don't have to switch between tools to configure prompts and agents.
• Get the security and access controls just like agents. For example, HCM administrators can't configure prompts from other families.
• Choose from a broader range of models.
• You can now configure and evaluate your prompts in AI Agent Studio before publishing them.
• Gain broader capabilities for editing AI prompts including all the nodes supported in workflows.
