Movement Requests Using a Redwood Page
In this demonstration, we will guide you through the process of creating movement requests using Redwood Page. You will also learn how to search, view, and manage your movement requests effectively within the Redwood Page.
Let us start the demonstration. First, we'll ensure that the Redwood Page for Movement Request enabled profile value is set to Yes at the site level. You can access the movement request using the Redwood Movement Request page available under the Inventory task in the Inventory Management work area.
Using the Movement Request page, you can perform tasks like search for and view movement requests. Create and update requisition movement request. Duplicate an entire movement request or specific lines. Close or cancel movement requests.
On the landing page, you will see two tabs, Movement Requests and Item Lines. The Movement Request tab provide access to all the movement requests at the header level. The Item Lines tab shows detailed information about the items within those movement requests.
To initiate a new movement request, click the Create button. It will open up the movement requests drawer. Fill in the fields such as movement request number, description, required date, transaction type, and more.
Leave the request number field blank if you prefer the system to generate a number automatically. After entering the details, click Create to move to the Movement Request Transfer page where you can add items for transaction.
Use the pencil icon to edit the request details in the header section. To simplify workflows, check the Create pick slip checkbox on the Movement Request page to release requests for picking. This option is available for request with preapproved limits.
Navigate to the line sections and click Add Item to open the item entry drawer. Provide details such as the item, request date. Select the account or account alias. Select the source of inventory details. Input the requested quantity and any other required fields.
View on-hand inventory for a selected source of inventory and locator to get a clearer understanding of the available stock. Enter any additional necessary information, then click Save to add new movement request line to the page.
Use the pencil icon to modify an existing line whenever needed. To create a new line based on existing one, click the duplicate icon. Make the required changes to the attributes and click Save. This is helpful when most attributes remain consistent across lines.
Once all details are complete, click Submit to finalize and create the new movement request. A new movement request has been created.
This concludes the demonstration. Thank you.
