Consigned Inventory Using a Redwood Page

In this demonstration, we will explore how to view the aging of consigned inventory and perform transfer to owned and transfer to consigned transactions using a Redwood page. To begin, ensure the Redwood pages for consigned inventory profile value is set to Yes at the site level. Save your changes and close. Once configured, you can access consigned transactions via the Redwood consigned inventory page available under inventory task in the inventory management work area.

The consigned inventory page is a unified interface that allows you to view consigned inventory aging, perform transfer to owned, and transfer to consigned transactions. The consigned inventory page features two built in tabs: consigned and owned. Use the consigned tab to view the details of the consigned inventory aging to identify items due for consumption. There are three toggle buttons that sort items based on their aging period. These are expired, today and next seven days, today and next 30 days.

Perform transfer to own transactions for items that are aged or due for consumption. This transaction transfers ownership of inventory from the supplier to your internal organization. By default, consigned tab is displayed, but you can switch to the own tab as needed. On the consigned tab, select the item to transfer.

And click on transfer to owned. This opens the transfer to owned page. Here, you can submit the selected item as is or edit item details. Using the pencil icon, you can edit the item details. You can modify the fields which include transfer quantity, transaction date, or tax determinants.

Once edits are complete, click done to save changes. The line will update with your changes. Add a new item to the transfer list using the add item button. Click Submit to finalize the transfer. A confirmation message will appear at the bottom of the page indicating the successful transfer. The own tab allows you to view owned inventory and initiate transfer to consigned constrained transactions which return ownership back to the supplier.

On the own tab, select the item to transfer and click on Transfer to consigned. You are now on the transfer to consigned page. Edit the item details before finalizing the transaction. Click on the pencil icon to edit item details that include owning party site, transfer quantity, transaction date, and more.

Click on done button to save your edits. Line is updated based on the edits. Click the Submit button to transfer the item to consigned. You will receive a message at the bottom of the page confirming that the transfer is successful. This concludes the demonstration. Thank you.
