Support for Channel, Location and Market Segment for Product Offerings

The product offering is enhanced with the following additional modelling capabilities on product offering for all types of offers. These configurations are enabled only if the offerings are orderable.

  1. You can setup Location on the offering to make an offer available to a particular geographical or physical locations or a set of location references specifically critical for your business scenarios. Example - Make an offer available only to a certain state in USA.
  2. You can establish the ordering channels using Channel references. Example - Make an offer available for online or Call Center channels.
  3. You can make an offer available to a particular market segments using market segment. Example - Make an offer available only to student segment.

These design time constructs enable the runtime system to drive the logic for commercial availability of offers across the multiple ordering channels, customer segment and locations.

All the above referenced entities needs to be first seeded by the administrator using the Administration -> Configuration tile before being referenced in the product offering.
