Dynamic Allowed Values for String Properties Based on Node Set
Allowed values for a string data type property can be based on nodes from an associated node set rather than explicitly defined for the property. The dynamic allowed values type can be configured for a string data type property for a specific application or node type in the property inspector. Additional options are available to control which values are taken from the node set including the applicable node types, the properties to use for the Value and Label of each allowed value, whether to only use bottom nodes, or to filter the nodes based on an expression. The allowed values list for the property is generated at runtime when selecting property values for nodes in a request or when validating property values.
Business Benefit: String data type properties can leverage existing node sets to control the selection and validation of property values for nodes in viewpoints. It also enables multiple string properties to share a common data set from which their allowed values are based.
