Object Storage Now Available for Task Manager, Supplemental Data Manager, and Enterprise Journals Attachments

Customers who have a large number of uploaded attachments to their Task Manager Tasks, Supplemental Data Forms, or Enterprise Journals can now consider using Oracle Object Storage to store the attachments. Object Storage requires its own subscription and configuration so this feature is optional, but once setup the attachments will be saved there going forward. Existing attachments from prior Task Manager Tasks, Supplemental Data Forms, and Enterprise Journals will also be moved to the Object Storage once configured.

Administrators must first create a connection to the Oracle Object Storage service using the Other Web Service Provider type and then enable the Oracle Object Storage option on the System Settings page in Task Manager. This enables Oracle Object Storage for Supplemental Data Manager and Enterprise Journals as well.

Applies To: Enterprise Profitability and Cost Management, Financial Consolidation and Close, Planning, Planning Modules, Tax Reporting

Business Benefit: Using a separate storage option may allow a large reduction in the size of the LCM snapshot so the backup, download, and restore steps will be more streamlined. For example, when restoring a snapshot from test to production, or when downloading a snapshot for offline storage.
