Deprecation of EPM Automate and REST API Settings for Idle Session Timeout for OCI (Gen 2) Environments
Starting with the February (25.02) update, the EPM Automate commands setIdleSessionTimeout
and getIdleSessionTimeout
and the corresponding REST APIs will no longer work for OCI (Gen 2) environments. Customers should use the idle session timeout setting provided by the Identity Cloud, which applies to the whole domain. The Getting Started with Oracle Enterprise Performance Management Cloud for Administrators guide now documents the instructions to change the Idle Session Timeout setting in the Identity Cloud for the whole domain.
These EPM Automate commands and REST APIs will continue to work for Classic environments.
Applies to: Account Reconciliation, Enterprise Data Management, Enterprise Profitability and Cost Management, Financial Consolidation and Close, FreeForm, Narrative Reporting, Planning, Profitability and Cost Management, Tax Reporting
Business Benefit: By using the setting provided by the Identity Cloud for the whole domain, you can make the idle session timeout setting uniform across the environments. This setting also provides a higher range and more flexibility compared to the values supported by EPM Automate commands and REST APIs.
