Changing Idle Session Timeout Settings
Idle Session Timeout is the period after which the user is automatically signed out of the identity domain due to inactivity.
By default, the idle session timeout is 75 minutes. It can be updated to any value from 4 to 480 minutes. A sign out warning is displayed 120 seconds before the idle session expires and the user is redirected to the sign in page. Users can extend their sessions by responding to the sign out warning.
To change the idle session timeout of the Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Performance Management and Oracle Enterprise Data Management Cloud environments, you can use one of the following information sources:
- setIdleSessionTimeout EPM Automate command in Working with EPM Automate for Oracle Enterprise Performance Management Cloud
- Set Idle Session Timeout REST API in REST API for Enterprise Performance Management Cloud
Note:
There are two types of timeouts: Idle Session Timeout and Maximum Session Duration. Even if you’re active, the environment will log you out once the maximum session duration is reached. See Maximum Session Duration.
