Severity Settings for Uniqueness Constraints
Constraints provide severity options to control whether they are enforced as a warning or error in each request workflow stage and during viewpoint validation. A warning severity identifies data issues to users but allows requests to proceed to the next stage. An error severity identifies data issues and prevents a request from proceeding until resolved. A constraint can also be ignored for a particular workflow stage or when validating a viewpoint.
Business Benefit: The configurable severity allows uniqueness constraints to be deferred to later workflow stages or to provide a warning but not restrict submission or approval of a request.
