Duplicate Node Name Validation Across In Flight Requests
A predefined validation can be optionally enabled for dimensions to verify whether the name of an added node is already used by another in-flight request. Normally during request submission, only request items in the current draft request and existing nodes in the viewpoint are evaluated for name uniqueness. When the Duplicate Name Check Against Inflight Requests validation is enabled, all in-flight requests with added nodes are also checked to determine if a node name is already used. The validation can be configured as a warning or error for the request Submit and Approval stages.
Business Benefit: This validation can prevent multiple requests using the same name for a new node from being in-flight at the same time, allowing for name resolution prior to the approval process.
