Oracle-Managed OCI Migration of Classic US Government Environments

One of Oracle's advancements, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), is the foundation of Oracle's second generation cloud. OCI, a purpose-built, best-in-class platform for running enterprise applications, is engineered from the ground up to run mission-critical databases, workloads, and applications while providing end-to-end security. Oracle's data centers around the globe are standardizing on the new OCI architecture which will deliver even greater performance and reliability. There are a lot of Cloud EPM features that are available only in OCI. See Features Available only in OCI Cloud EPM Environments in Getting Started with Oracle Enterprise Performance Management Cloud for Administrators.

Oracle is migrating all Classic Cloud EPM US Government environments to OCI in Wave 10, on a predefined schedule. The default (or requested) Domain Administrator and Service Administrator specified in the notification email must have already received the Activate Your Account email.
You must have already completed these optional activities by the end of March 2025.

As a part of the April (25.04) monthly update, while applying the monthly update during the daily maintenance, Oracle will automatically clone your OCI environments from Classic environments and change the DNS configuration so that the existing Classic service URLs are routed to the OCI environments. Cloning of test environments will be done on April 4 and the cloning of the production environments will be done on April 18. Oracle will terminate your Classic environments after the cloning of the production environments is complete.

NOTE: Wave 10 migration cannot be skipped.

Applies to: Account Reconciliation, Enterprise Data Management, Enterprise Profitability and Cost Management, Financial Consolidation and Close, FreeForm, Narrative Reporting, Planning, Profitability and Cost Management, Tax Reporting

Business Benefit: OCI provides you a purpose-built, best-in-class platform that is engineered from the ground up to run mission-critical databases, workloads, and business processes while providing end-to-end security. This new architecture delivers greater performance and reliability, and a number of Cloud features that are not available in Classic Cloud EPM.
