Oracle to Continue Support for TLS 1.2 with Strong Ciphers
Oracle has decided to continue supporting TLS 1.2 indefinitely. However, to enhance security for connections to Cloud EPM, starting with the September 2025 (25.09) update, Cloud EPM will support only strong ciphers. For the list of supported ciphers, see Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.2 and 1.3 for Communication in the Getting Started Guide for Administrators. Oracle does not anticipate any issues with this update.
If you'd like to test the latest ciphers and ensure compatibility with your client operating systems, browsers, Oracle Smart View for Office, EPM Automate, EPM Agent, and other software that integrates with Cloud EPM, follow the testing procedure outlined in How to Test with the Latest TLS Ciphers in the Operations Guide.
NOTE: The transition to strong ciphers will be implemented across all Cloud EPM test and production environments on September 5, 2025, even if your environment is not updated with the 25.09 update because of skipUpdate setting or being on a one-off patch.
Applies to: Account Reconciliation, Enterprise Data Management, Enterprise Profitability and Cost Management, Financial Consolidation and Close, FreeForm, Narrative Reporting, Planning, Profitability and Cost Management, Tax Reporting
Business Benefit: The use of strong ciphers enhance Cloud EPM security.
