Attributes Using Registered Dimensions in Cloud EPM Applications

Dimension attributes for Oracle Cloud EPM applications in Enterprise Data Management can be set up to use an existing registered dimension as the basis for valid attribute values. A Registered Dimension attribute type is available when adding an new attribute to a dimension during application registration. A new Node data type property is created for the attribute and is associated with the existing bound node set and node types for the registered dimension. The attribute property can be further configured to use optional default types and selection criteria as necessary.

Business Benefit: Attribute values for a Cloud EPM application dimension can be based on nodes in an existing dimension rather than a separately managed dimension or list of values.  For example, a triangulation currency attribute which references nodes in the same Currency dimension.
